Mamiek Soeharto: Jangan Pernah Janjikan Sesuatu yang Kita Tidak Mampu

Jakarta – Setiap partai berusaha memenuhi kuota 30 persen calon legislatif (caleg) perempuan, tapi sampai empat kali pemilihan umum (Pemilu) di era reformasi tidak sekali pun 30 persen kursi parlemen diisi perempuan.
Padahal, menurut Direktur Utama Taman Buah Mekarsari Mamiek Soeharto, perempuan berperan penting membangun bangsa.
“Saya berharap 30 persen caleg Partai Berkarya yang kelak duduk di parlemen adalah perempuan,” kata putri Presiden Soeharto yang bernama lengkap Siti Hutami Endang Adiningsih itu.
Pada pemilu 1999– pemilu pertama era reformasi, 44 perempuan atau 8,8 persen dari seluruh calon legistlatif– melenggang ke DPR. Tahun 2004, jumlah perempuan yang masuk ke DPR bertambah 4,7 persen, menjadi 65 orang.

Tahun 2009 jumlah perempuan yang masuk ke DPR mencapai angka tertinggi yaitu 17,86 persen. Tapi  pada Pemilu 2014 turun ke posisi 17,32 persen, atau 97 dari 560 anggota legislative.
Menurut Mamiek, caleg perempuan Partai Berkarya bisa mendongkrak keterwakilan perempuan di DPR. Caranya dengan sosialisasi gencar di tengah masyarakat, berkomunikasi sebaik mungkin, dan memperlihatkan niat baik.
“Satu hal lagi, jangan menjanjikan sesuatu yang kita tidak mampu mewujudkannya,” kata Mamiek. 
“Yang terpenting berusaha terus meyakinkan masyarakat betapa Perempuan Berkarya akan melakukan yang terbaik untuk masyarakat.”
Partai Berkarya baru berusia dua tahun, tapi Mamiek yakin partai yang mengusung cita-cita luhur Presiden Soeharto itu akan memperoleh banyak kursi di DPR.
Ia meminta seluruh caleg Partai Berkarya menyatukan tekad meraih kursi di DPR untuk lima tahun mendatang.
Cita-cita Presiden Soeharto, menurut Mamiek, adalah mewujudkan kemakmuran dan keadilan untuk seluruh masyarakat Indonesia.Ia melihat saat ini sambutan masyarakat terhadap kelahiran Partai Berkarya sangat baik.
“Kami mempersiapkan caleg Partai Berkarya untuk menjadi kader yang memperjuangkan aspirasi masyarakat,” katanya.
“Tidak hanya itu, Partai Berkarya juga telah membangun Saung Berkarya sebagai workshop untuk pembangunan pertanian terpadu, dan mewujudkan gagasan desa mandiri pangan dan energi.”

Saung Berkarya dibangun Hutomo Mandala Putra, biasa dipanggil Tommy Soeharto, di kawasan Sentul, Kabupaten Bogor. Sri Wahyuni, pengelola Saung Berkarya, mengatakan workshop ini adalah solusi bagi pembangunan pertanian di masa depan.
