Agenda Demokrasi Pemilu Serentak sebentar lg akan berlangsung. Direktorat Jenderal Politik dan Pemerintahan Imum melalui Direktorat Politik Dalam Negeri melaksanakan kegiatan pendidikan politik bagi Pemilih Muda di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta di The Atrium Hotel dan Resort pada Kamis (7/2).

Dalam sambutan dan arahannya Direktur Politik Dalam Negeri, La Ode Ahmad mengatakan Pemilihan Umum merupakan salah satu pilar demokrasi sebagai wahana perwujudan kedaulatan rakyat guna menghasilkan pemerintahan dan lembaga perwakilan politik yang memiliki legimitasi yang kuat dari rakyat.

“Kegiatan ini menyasar kelompok Pemuda karena Pemuda merupakan ujung tombak pembangunan suatu bangsa yang memiliki peran besar untuk membawa perubahan ke dalam suatu program pembangunan yang gemilang,” kata La Ode Ahmad Direktur Politik Dalam Negeri dalam pidatonya.

La Ode menambahkan bahwa pendidikan politik berperan penting sebagai media penyampaian konsep politik yang memiliki tujuan akhir untuk membuat pemilih muda menjadi lebih melek politik sehingga sadar akan hak dan kewajiban.

Pemilih Muda harus memiliki dasar kuat sesuai dengan karakter bangsa Indonesia. Sehingga pendidikan politik terhadap pemilih muda bisa dijadikan filter terhadap pemikiran baru, ideologi baru serta berbagai tantangan, hambatan dan gangguan baik yang berasal dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri.

“Permasalahan bangsa yang begitu besar tidak bisa dilakukan secara parsial, peran masyarakat dalam pembangunan harus kita tingkatkan dan manfaatkan untuk bersama-sama membangun bangsa ini kearah yang lebih baik,” tutupnya.

Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh para pemuda usia 17 tahun sampai 30 tahun yang sudah mempunyai hak pilih dan para pejabat lingkup Ditjen Polpum.(Lutfi)
