Pada 2017, anak dan perempuan korban tindak kekerasan mencapai 1.217 kasus. Sementara itu, kasus kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan anak pada Oktober 2018 mencapai 1.510 kasus. Totalnya terdiri dari kekerasan terhadap perempuan 728 kasus dan kekerasan pada anak 782 kasus.
Makanya, dengan penambahan Rumah Aman di DKI Jakarta diharapkan bisa mempercepat penanganan korban tindakan kekerasan. Selanjutnya, korban dapat langsung direhabilitasi secara psikis.
“Kami mengharapkan dengan semakin banyaknya Rumah Aman, semakin banyak korban yang dapat ditangani dan disembuhkan traumanya,” jelas Tuty.
Kepastian penambahan Rumah Aman di Ibu Kota dipertegas Sekretaris Dinas Sosial Provinsi DKI Jakarta, Mariana. Ia mengatakan, penambahan Rumah Aman DKI Jakarta sudah masuk pos anggaran dinas sosial di APBD DKI Jakarta 2019.
