JAKARTA SEBANYAK 35 Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) siap mendukung Temu Nasional 1000 Organisasi Perempuan Indonesia yang akan diselenggarakan di Yogyakarta pada 13-14 September 2018.
Temu Nasional ini digagas oleh Kongres Wanita Indonesia (KOWANI) sebagai bagian dari rangkaian acara Sidang Umum Dewan Perempuan Internasional (ICW) Ke-35 di Yogyakarta, 13-19 September 2018.
“BUMN mendukung temu nasional ini karena percaya dan terbukti perempuan Indonesia memiliki peran yang sangat besar dalam meletakkan landasan negara, baik dari sisi pendamping maupun profesional, dan melalui acara ini kita ingin lebih meningkatkan peran tersebut,” kata Staf Khusus Menteri 2 BUMN Judith Jubilana Dipodiputro dalam konferensi pers di Sarinah, Jakarta, Kamis (31/8/2018).
Menurut Judith, di lingkungan BUMN pun kini peran perempuan semakin terlihat, salah satunya dari peran Menteri BUMN Rini Soemarno yang berhasil memperkuat semua badan usaha milik negara menjadi organisasi profesional bertaraf internasional.
“BUMN dan perempuan di BUMN telah bekerja sangat keras dan serius untuk membawa BUMN mampu bersaing di internasional melampaui cerita yang menyedihkan, bagaimana badan usaha negara kita kalah dari negara yang sangat kecil tapi perannya jauh lebih besar dibandingkan dari kita, karena itu kami ingin semua perempuan bangga bahwa peranan kita sudah lengkap sisi istri dan untuk pengisi pembangunan di negara kita,” kata dia.
Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah akan mengangkat tema “Transformasi Masyarakat melalui Pemberdayaan Perempuan” yang akan dihadiri sekitar 1.500 anggota delegasi dari 80 negara, termasuk Indonesia.
Menurut Gatot Subagio, Sekretaris Perusahaan PT Patra Jasa, salah satu BUMN yang mendukung kongres perempuan seluruh dunia itu, Yogyakarta sengaja dipilih untuk menunjukkan kemajuan Indonesia dalam mencapai Target Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) 2030 melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilakukan sinergi BUMN di Borobudur, Jawa Tengah, dengan konsep pariwisata berbasis masyarakat.
“Melalui sidang umum ini, kita juga ingin menunjukkan kepada dunia internasional tentang kemajuan pencapaian SDGs di Indonesia melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat, yang sebagian besar dimotori perempuan di komunitas tersebut,” ujar dia.
Hasil-hasil dari Sidang Umum ICW Ke-35 di Yogyakarta akan dibawa dan disampaikan dalam Sidang Umum UN Women di New York, Amerika Serikat, pada Maret 2019. (Zul)
