BEKASI – Dunia persilatan di tanah air akan segera dikejutkan dengan lahirnya perkumpulan baru bernama Ikatan Perguruan Silat Tradisional Indonesia (IPSTI). Rencananya, IPSTI akan dideklarasikan pada Jum’at 11 Mei 2018 di Gedung Kesenian Jakarta.
“Berdirinya IPSTI merupakan komitmen kami untuk turut serta membantu pemerintah dalam upaya pelestarian budaya Indonesia pada umumunya.dan Budaya Betawi khususnya,” ujar David Darmawan pendiri IPSTI sekaligus Ketua Umum IPSTI kepada wartawan di Bekasi, Jumat (27/4/2018).
Menurut David, IPSTI bukan perguruan silat melainkan sebagai wadah yang menampung perguruan silat dari berbagai aliran silat. Keunggulan IPSTI ialah kemampuannya pada mengadopsi beberapa jenis pertandingan
David yang juga penggagas berdirinya ormas Betawi Bangkit menegaskan bahwa IPSTI saat ini belum ada cabang-cabangnya. Meski IPSTI merupakan wadah baru yang memanyungi olah raga perguruan silat hingga kini sudah ada 20 perguruan silat berbagai aliran yang mau mendaftar masuk menjadi anggota IPSTI.
Dari 20 anggota baru inilah muncul permintaan agar IPSTI bisa menggelar tournamen memakai body protector. Pertandingan. dengan menggunakan body protektor vilkruf yang ditempelkan atau dipasang sebanyak 8 buah di depan body dan 3 di belakang bodi.
“Ada wacana anggota agar kita menggelar pertandingan Kejuaraan Jawara Profesioanl dengan sistim pertandingan full kontak atau tanpa perlindungan body protektor” papar David didampingi Ketua Harian DPP Muh. Jamil.
Dia menjelaskan, IPSTI berdiri sendiri dan independen dan tidak di bawah IPSI serta tidak masuk Induk organisasi cabang olah raga (KONI).
Sementara itu, Muh. Jamil. Yang kerap disapa Mas Beng ini menambahkan dalam menjalankan organisasinya, IPSTI mengembangkan dan mengajarkan sistim koperasi syariah. Koperasi ini didirikan sebagai wadah untuk.mensejahterakan anggotanya disamping.
Ke depan, kata Mas Beng, IPSTI juga akan mengajarkan anggotanya untuk melek e-commerce (pemasaran online) berbasis Information technology/IT). Dengan menyiapkan tenaga-tenaga ahli IT untuk mendidik para anggota, kedepan semua anggota IPSTI tidak hanya jago silat tapi juga melek IT.
Sekretariat IPSTI berada di Jalan C RT. 01/02, Kelurahan Dukuh, Kecamatan Kramat Jati, Jakarta Timur. atau tepatnya di depan kampus Univ Muh, Husni Thamrin. (Endi)
