JAKARTA – GMNI UKI Bersama Karang Taruna Buluh perindu menggelar posko bencana banjir di Kampung Pulo Jatinegara. Kegiatan yang menggalang sumbangan dari masyarakat berupa nasi bungkus sebanyak 100 Boks, susu ultra untuk anak anak, beberapa minuman segar dan pakaian layak pakai.
“Kami bermalam di sana untuk membantu para korban banjir Kampung Pulo,” ujar Ruben Nababan selaku Wakombid Advokasi GMNI UKI dalam siaran pers yang diterima redaksi, Selasa (13/2/2018).
Ruben menyatakan, bahwa memang sudah sewajarnya mahasiswa dan pemuda harus terus hadir di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Dan Itu sudah kewajiban kami sebagai anggota GMN
“Kami tidak hanya belajar dan meneliti akan tetapi juga hadir di persoalan-mpersoalan masyarakat layaknya Tridharma perguruan tinggi,” paparnya.
Dana yang mereka dapatkan dipakai untuk membantu korban bencana banjir ini didapat dari mulai ngamen dan membuat kotak peduli Kp.Pulo yang mereka kelilingi di daerah rumah mereka.
Rusdin Balich, salah satu anggota Karang Taruna Buluh Perindu merasa sangat senang dengan ajakan para mahasiswa untuk bergabung membentuk posko di Kp.pulo Jatinegara. Rusdin berharap Karang taruna Buluh Perindu dan GMNI UKI terus bekerja sama dalam memperhatikan persoalan-persoalan yang ada di tengah- tengah masyarakat. (Zul)
