JAKARTA – Indonesia menyatakan kesiapannya menyelenggarakan pertemuan ulama internasional untuk membantu membangun perdamaian di tingkat internasional, khususnya negara Afghanistan.
“Indonesia siap menjadi tuan rumah. Saran saya, pertemuan bersifat inklusif,” kata Presiden Joko Widodo dalam pertemuannya dengan Ketua Dewan Perdamaian Afghanistan Karim Khalili di Istana Haram Sarai (Wisma Negara), Kabul, Afghanistan, pada Senin.
Menurut Presiden, tindak lanjut dari rencana pertemuan ulama itu akan dilakukan di Jakarta.
Pertemuan itu menjadi salah satu upaya Indonesia dalam pembangunan perdamaian bagi Afghanistan.
Presiden mengawali perbincangannya bersama Khalili dengan menyampaikan perasaan dukacita yang mendalam atas tragedi yang terjadi di Kabul beberapa waktu belakangan yang merenggut puluhan jiwa.
“Saya turut mendoakan agar keluarga dan sahabat yang ditinggal diberi ketabahan. Kekejian ini tidak akan melunturkan semangat kita. Namun, hanya akan semakin memperkuat keinginan untuk menciptakan perdamaian,” demikian Presiden dalam keterangan Deputi Bidang Protokol, Pers, dan Media Sekretariat Presiden Bey Machmudin diterima Antara di Jakarta.
Kepala Negara juga berterima kasih atas kunjungan yang dilakukan oleh Ketua Dewan Perdamaian Afghanistan beserta delegasi ke Jakarta beberapa waktu lalu.
Melalui kunjungan balasan yang dilakukan, Presiden Jokowi hendak meneguhkan komitmen Indonesia dalam membantu upaya perdamaian di Afghanistan.
“Kunjungan ke Kabul akan saya gunakan untuk meneguhkan komitmen Indonesia membantu peace building di Afghanistan sebagaimana diminta oleh Presiden Afghanistan,” ujar Presiden.
Selain itu, pemerintah Indonesia juga akan membangun klinik kesehatan di kompleks Indonesia Islamic Centre (IIC) di Kabul yang akan mulai dibangun pada musim semi 2018 melengkapi Masjid As-Salam yang sudah dimanfaatkan masyarakat. (Lutfi/Ant/Foto: Ist)
