Komisi yang membidangi pendidikan, pemuda, olahraga, pariwisata, kesenian, dan kebudayaan itu meninjau beberapa venue mulai dari boling, menembak, voli pantai, dayung, dan perkampungan atlet.
Wakil Ketua Komisi X Sutan Adil Hendra mengatakan, kunjungan kerja ini selain untuk melihat progres venue di JSC, juga untuk mengetahui sejauh mana koordinasi antara panitia pusat dan daerah.
Hendra juga berharap, megahnya venue Asian Games diimbangi dengan prestasi atlet Indonesia.
“Jangan hanya sukses sebagai tuan rumah, kita juga harus sukses dari sisi prestasi,” ujar Hendra.
Anggota DPR Venna Melinda yang merupakan selebriti Tanah Air sempat mencoba lintasan boling dengan melempar dua kali untuk menjatuhkan pin yang ada.
“Saya ini atlet boling dulu. Saya nilai venue boling di JSC ini sudah standar internasional dan tinggal finishing saja,” kata Venna.
Sedangkan Yayuk Basuki yang merupakan legenda tenis Indonesia, cukup mengkhawatirkan kondisi beberapa venue yang belum siap 100 persen. Padahal waktu pelaksanaan semakin dekat.
“Sebagai mantan atlet saya cukup khawatir persiapan menghadapi Asian Games ini. Peralatan di beberapa venue masih ada yang belum terpasang dan siap digunakan. Selain itu persiapan atlet juga kita soroti, karena Asian Games kurang enam bulan lagi, tapi pelatnas masih tarik ulur,” kata dia.(Lutfi/Ant).
