Pria pembawa Bom Sandera 11 orang di Ukraina

Kiev – Seorang pria, yang diyakini membawa bom yang terikat di tubuhnya, menyandera 11 orang terdiri atas sembilan orang dewasa dan dua anak-anak di satu kantor pos di Kota Kharkiv, Ukraina, demikian laporan kepolisian setempat, Sabtu (30/12).

Pria yang tidak diketahui identitasnya itu tampak tenang dan belum mengajukan tuntutan apa pun.

Namun, ia terus melakukan kontak secara berkala dengan kepolisian melalui telepon-telepon milik para sandera, kata kepala kepolisian daerah, Oleg Bekh, kepada stasiun penyiaran berita 112, layaknya dikutip Reuters.

Gambar-gambar di televisi memperlihatkan para polisi beserta mobil-mobil polisi yang diparkir di luar sebuah gedung berwarna putih-kuning dan bertingkat dua di kota timur laut itu.

Kawasan tersebut sudah ditutup agar tidak dilalui kendaraan.

“Kami sedang mengupayakan segalanya untuk terus melakukan komunikasi dengan penyandera, dan mengambil semua langkah yang diperlukan untuk memastikan agar orang-orang dibebaskan,” kata Bekh.

Penyandera di kantor pos itu merasa khawatir soal pertukaran tawanan baru-baru ini antara pihak berwenang Ukraina dan para pemberontak pro-Rusia serta menganggap seharusnya ada lebih banyak tawanan yang dibebaskan, kata Bekh.

Ia menambahkan bahwa kepolisian tidak tahu apa yang diinginkan oleh pria tersebut.

Pada Rabu (27/12), Pemerintah Ukraina dan kelompok separatis mempertukarkan ratusan tawanan, yang merupakan jumlah terbesar sejak konflik muncul di wilayah timur Ukraina, Donbass. Konflik tersebut telah menewaskan lebih dari 10.000 orang.(Endi/Ant)
