MONASNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Menteri Dalam Negeri Tjahjo Kumolo, mengaku senang berkunjung ke Kabupaten Belu, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Seperti diketahui pada Sabtu 28 Oktober 2017, Menteri Tjahjo menyempatkan datang ke Belu, atas undangan dari Bupati Belu. Di kabupaten yang berbatasan langsung dengan Timor Leste, Tjahjo sempat jadi pemimpin upacara peringatan Hari Sumpah Pemuda.

Tjahjo senang, karena diterima dengan ramah oleh warna Belu. Tidak hanya itu, ia juga bangga, di tengah terik yang menyengat, peserta upacara Sumpah Pemuda bergeming tak beranjak dari tempat mendengarkan pidatonya. Padahal hawa cukup menyengat panas.

“Saya lihat masyarakat juga ramah betul, saya menyalami turun dari sana. Panas terik dia mendengar pidato saya dengan panjang,” ujar Tjahjo.

Soal kebiasannya menyalami banyak orang di setiap acara, kata dia, itu menyerap ilmunya Presiden Jokowi. Karena setiap berkunjung ke daerah, Presiden Jokowi tak segan menyalami warga, meski harus berpeluh keringat. Pemimpin memang harus seperti itu. Membumi, dan tak ada sekat dengan rakyatnya.

“Ya memang harus berjabat tangan. Ilmunya Pak Jokowi kan juga gitu. Beliau enggak peduli Paspampresnya urusin kayak apa pokoknya berhenti di jalan nyalamin penduduk, bawa buku, bawa kaos, bawa pulpen, nyalamin. Itu hampir dimana-mana yang panik Pasmpampres.  Itu resiko. Tugas paspampres ya harus menjaga. Bersentuhan dengan masyarakat. Saya kira itu kata kuncinya,” tutur Tjahjo panjang lebar. (Akbar)
