“Sangat layak (untuk ditonton). Kita tidak bisa memungkiri sejarah, itu lah sejarah yang sebenarnya,” kata Tommy melakukan jalan santai di Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta Pusat, Minggu (24/9/2017).
Dari pemutaran film tersebut, Tommy berharap tidak ada pemutarbalikan sejarah . “Kita harapkan tidak ada pemutar balikan sejarah, masyarakat wajib tau kekejaman gerakan 30 september yang sebenar nya tanpa di puter balikan sejara.saya rasa tidak ada paksaan kepada masyarakat untuk menonton dan memutar ulang film tersebut. Ia menyebut siapapun dapat menonton film tersebut tanpa ada yang menghalang-halangi.ujar nya.
Sebelumnya, Panglima TNI Jenderal Gatot Nurmantyo mengusulkan pemutaran kembali film G30S/PKI di lingkup internal institusinya. Dia menegaskan acara nonton bareng film kontroversial itu memang perintahnya.
“Iya itu memang perintah saya, mau apa? Yang bisa melarang saya hanya pemerintah,” kata Jenderal Gatot saat ditemui seusai ziarah di Makam Bung Karno (MBK), Bendogerit, Blitar, Senin (18/9).
