Hal tersebut disampaikan Kepala Pusat Penerangan (Kapuspen) TNI Mayjen TNI Wuryanto, S.Sos.,M.Si pada jumpa pers dengan wartawan, di Balai Wartawan Puspen TNI, Mabes TNI Cilangkap, Jakarta Timur, Jumat (22/9/2017).
“Dalam rangkaian upacara dan demonstrasi pertempuran atau Latgab, TNI melibatkan sekitar 18 ribu personel baik TNI Angkatan Darat, TNI Angkatan Laut dan TNI Angkatan Udara serta mengerahkan seluruh kekuatan dan kemampuan Alutsista TNI,” kata Mayjen TNI Wuryanto.
Kapuspen TNI menyampaikan bahwa dalam pelaksanaan HUT ke-72, TNI akan mengundang Tokoh-Tokoh Masyarakat, Alim Ulama dan 1000 pelajar-pelajar teladan, khususnya di daerah-daerah terpencil, pulau terluar dan daerah perbatasan. “Tokoh-Tokoh Masyarakat akan hadir dengan menggunakan pakaian adat masing-masing daerah dan mereka akan menyaksikan semua rangkaian kegiatan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-72 TNI Tahun 2017,” ujarnya.
Lebih lanjut Kapuspen TNI Mayjen TNI Wuryanto menjelaskan bahwa sebelum pelaksanaan puncak HUT ke-72, TNI juga melaksanakan berbagai macam rangkaian kegiatan yang dimulai sejak awal tahun 2017, baik di tingkat pusat maupun daerah meliputi Bakti Sosial, Karya Bakti dan berbagai lomba untuk mengangkat potensi dan kearifan lokal yang ada di tingkat daerah,” ucapnya.
“Kegiatan HUT Ke-72 TNI sebagai bentuk laporan pertanggung jawaban kepada pemerintah dan seluruh masyarakat Indonesia tentang kekuatan Alutsista TNI termasuk yang terbaru dan kemampuan keterampilan prajurit TNI, sehingga bangsa Indonesia dapat melihat secara langsung kekuatan TNI saat ini,” pungkas Mayjen TNI Wuryanto.
