Jakarta-monasnews.com – G30S/PKI yang juga dikenal dengan nama aslinya, Gerakan 30 September atau singkatan lain berupa Gestapu (Gerakan September Tiga Puluh) dan Gestok (Gerakan Satu Oktober) merupakan salah satu peristiwa yang terjadi ketika Indonesia sudah beberapa tahun merdeka. Sesuai namanya, peristiwa ini terjadi pada tanggal 30 September 1965 malam, hingga esok harinya dimana ada pembunuhan tujuh perwira tinggi militer dalam sebuah kudeta.
Usaha yang akhirnya gagal kemudian dijatuhkan kepada anggota dari Partai Komunis Indonesia yang saat itu sedang dalam kondisi kuat karena mereka dinilai amat dekat dengan Presiden Indonesia pertama pada masa itu. Benar atau tidaknya Partai Komunis Indonesia yang bertanggung jawab penuh dalam kejadian ini tetap menjadi bahan perdebatan hingga sekarang.
Kronologi peristiwa g30s/pki
PKI merupakan partai Stalinis yang terbesar di seluruh dunia, di luar Tiongkok dan Uni Sovyet. Anggotanya berjumlah sekitar 3,5 juta, ditambah 3 juta dari pergerakan pemudanya. PKI juga mengontrol pergerakan serikat buruh yang mempunyai 3,5 juta anggota dan pergerakan petani Barisan Tani Indonesia yang mempunyai 9 juta anggota. Termasuk pergerakan wanita (Gerwani), organisasi penulis dan artis dan pergerakan sarjananya, PKI mempunyai lebih dari 20 juta anggota dan pendukung.Pada bulan Juli 1959 parlemen dibubarkan dan Sukarno menetapkan konstitusi di bawah dekrit presiden – sekali lagi dengan dukungan penuh dari PKI. Ia memperkuat tangan angkatan bersenjata dengan mengangkat para jendral militer ke posisi-posisi yang penting. Sukarno menjalankan sistem “Demokrasi Terpimpin”. PKI menyambut “Demokrasi Terpimpin” Sukarno dengan hangat dan anggapan bahwa dia mempunyai mandat untuk persekutuan Konsepsi yaitu antara Nasionalis, Agama dan Komunis yang dinamakan NASAKOM.
Pada era “Demokrasi Terpimpin”, kolaborasi antara kepemimpinan PKI dan kaum burjuis nasional dalam menekan pergerakan-pergerakan independen kaum buruh dan petani, gagal memecahkan masalah-masalah politis dan ekonomi yang mendesak. Pendapatan ekspor menurun, foreign reserves menurun, inflasi terus menaik dan korupsi birokrat dan militer menjadi wabah.
PKI telah menguasai banyak dari organisasi massa yang dibentuk Soekarno untuk memperkuat dukungan untuk rezim Demokrasi Terpimpin dan, dengan persetujuan dari Soekarno, memulai kampanye untuk membentuk “Angkatan Kelima” dengan mempersenjatai pendukungnya. Para petinggi militer menentang hal ini.Dari tahun 1963, kepemimpinan PKI makin lama makin berusaha menghindari bentrokan-bentrokan antara aktivis massanya dan polisi dan militer. Pemimpin-pemimpin PKI mementingkan
“kepentingan bersama” polisi dan “rakyat”. Pemimpin PKI DN Aidit mengilhami slogan “Untuk Ketentraman Umum Bantu Polisi”. Di bulan Agustus 1964, Aidit menganjurkan semua anggota PKI membersihkan diri dari “sikap-sikap sektarian” kepada angkatan bersenjata, mengimbau semua pengarang dan seniman sayap-kiri untuk membuat “massa tentara” subyek karya-karya mereka.
Di akhir 1964 dan permulaan 1965 ratusan ribu petani bergerak merampas tanah dari para tuan tanah besar. Bentrokan-bentrokan besar terjadi antara mereka dan polisi dan para pemilik tanah. Untuk mencegah berkembangnya konfrontasi revolusioner itu, PKI mengimbau semua pendukungnya untuk mencegah pertentangan menggunakan kekerasan terhadap para pemilik tanah dan untuk meningkatkan kerjasama dengan unsur-unsur lain, termasuk angkatan bersenjata.
Pada permulaan 1965, para buruh mulai menyita perusahaan-perusahaan karet dan minyak milik AS. Kepemimpinan PKI menjawab ini dengan memasuki pemerintahan dengan resmi. Pada waktu yang sama, jendral-jendral militer tingkat tinggi juga menjadi anggota kabinet.
Menteri-menteri PKI tidak hanya duduk di sebelah para petinggi militer di dalam kabinet Sukarno ini, tetapi mereka terus mendorong ilusi yang sangat berbahaya bahwa angkatan bersenjata adalah merupakan bagian dari revolusi demokratis “rakyat”.
Aidit memberikan ceramah kepada siswa-siswa sekolah angkatan bersenjata di mana ia berbicara tentang “perasaan kebersamaan dan persatuan yang bertambah kuat setiap hari antara tentara Republik Indonesia dan unsur-unsur masyarakat Indonesia, termasuk para komunis”.
Rejim Sukarno mengambil langkah terhadap para pekerja dengan melarang aksi-aksi mogok di industri. Kepemimpinan PKI tidak berkeberatan karena industri menurut mereka adalah milik pemerintahan NASAKOM.
Tidak lama PKI mengetahui dengan jelas persiapan-persiapan untuk pembentukan rejim militer, menyatakan keperluan untuk pendirian “angkatan kelima” di dalam angkatan bersenjata, yang terdiri dari pekerja dan petani yang bersenjata. Bukannya memperjuangkan mobilisasi massa yang berdiri sendiri untuk melawan ancaman militer yang sedang berkembang itu, kepemimpinan PKI malah berusaha untuk membatasi pergerakan massa yang makin mendalam ini dalam batas-batas hukum kapitalis negara. Mereka, depan jendral-jendral militer, berusaha menenangkan bahwa usul PKI akan memperkuat negara. Aidit menyatakan dalam laporan ke Komite Sentral PKI bahwa “NASAKOMisasi” angkatan bersenjata dapat dicapai dan mereka akan bekerjasama untuk menciptakan “angkatan kelima”. Kepemimpinan PKI tetap berusaha menekan aspirasi revolusioner kaum buruh di Indonesia. Di bulan Mei 1965, Politbiro PKI masih mendorong ilusi bahwa aparatus militer dan negara sedang diubah untuk memecilkan aspek anti-rakyat dalam alat-alat negara.
Peristiwa G30S/PKI
Pada 30 September 1965, enam jendral senior dan beberapa orang lainnya dibunuh dalam upaya kudeta yang disalahkan kepada para pengawal istana (Cakrabirawa) yang loyal kepada PKI dan pada saat itu dipimpin oleh Letkol. Untung. Panglima Komando Strategi Angkatan Darat saat itu, Mayjen Soeharto kemudian mengadakan penumpasan terhadap gerakan tersebut.
Korban

Keenam pejabat tinggi yang dibunuh tersebut adalah:
- Panglima Angkatan Darat Letjen TNI Ahmad Yani,
- Mayjen TNI R. Suprapto
- Mayjen TNI M.T. Haryono
- Mayjen TNI Siswondo Parman
- Brigjen TNI DI Panjaitan
- Brigjen TNI Sutoyo Siswomiharjo
Jenderal TNI A.H. Nasution juga disebut sebagai salah seorang target namun dia selamat dari upaya pembunuhan tersebut. Sebaliknya, putrinya Ade Irma Suryani Nasution dan ajudan AH Nasution, Lettu Pierre Tandean tewas dalam usaha pembunuhan tersebut.
Selain itu beberapa orang lainnya juga turut menjadi korban:
- AIP Karel Satsuit Tubun
- Brigjen Katamso Darmokusumo
- Kolonel Sugiono
Para korban tersebut kemudian dibuang ke suatu lokasi di Pondok Gede, Jakarta yang dikenal sebagai Lubang Buaya. Mayat mereka ditemukan pada 3 Oktober.
Pasca kejadian G30S/PKI
Pada tanggal 1 Oktober 1965 Sukarno dan sekretaris jendral PKI Aidit menanggapi pembentukan Dewan Revolusioner oleh para “pemberontak” dengan berpindah ke Pangkalan Angkatan Udara Halim di Jakarta untuk mencari perlindungan.
Pada tanggal 6 Oktober Sukarno mengimbau rakyat untuk menciptakan “persatuan nasional”, yaitu persatuan antara angkatan bersenjata dan para korbannya, dan penghentian kekerasan. Biro Politik dari Komite Sentral PKI segera menganjurkan semua anggota dan organisasi-organisasi massa untuk mendukung “pemimpin revolusi Indonesia” dan tidak melawan angkatan bersenjata. Pernyataan ini dicetak ulang di koran CPA bernama “Tribune”.
Pada tanggal 12 Oktober 1965, pemimpin-pemimpin Uni-Sovyet Brezhnev, Mikoyan dan Kosygin mengirim pesan khusus untuk Sukarno: “Kita dan rekan-rekan kita bergembira untuk mendengar bahwa kesehatan anda telah membaik Kita mendengar dengan penuh minat tentang pidato anda di radio kepada seluruh rakyat Indonesia untuk tetap tenang dan menghindari kekacauan…Imbauan ini akan dimengerti secara mendalam.”
Pada tanggal 12 Oktober 1965, pemimpin-pemimpin Uni-Sovyet Brezhnev, Mikoyan dan Kosygin mengirim pesan khusus untuk Sukarno: “Kita dan rekan-rekan kita bergembira untuk mendengar bahwa kesehatan anda telah membaik Kita mendengar dengan penuh minat tentang pidato anda di radio kepada seluruh rakyat Indonesia untuk tetap tenang dan menghindari kekacauan…Imbauan ini akan dimengerti secara mendalam.”
“Dalam sebuah Konferensi Tiga Benua di Havana di bulan Februari 1966, perwakilan Uni-Sovyet berusaha dengan segala kemampuan mereka untuk menghindari pengutukan atas penangkapan dan pembunuhan orang-orang yang dituduh sebagai PKI, yang sedang terjadi terhadap rakyat Indonesia. Pendirian mereka mendapatkan pujian dari rejim Suharto. Parlemen Indonesia mengesahkan resolusi pada tanggal 11 Februari, menyatakan “penghargaan penuh” atas usaha-usaha perwakilan-perwakilan dari Nepal, Mongolia, Uni-Sovyet dan negara-negara lain di Konperensi Solidaritas Negara-Negara Afrika, Asia dan Amerika Latin, yang berhasil menetralisir usaha-usaha para kontra-revolusioner apa yang dinamakan pergerakan 30 September, dan para pemimpin dan pelindung mereka, untuk bercampur-tangan di dalam urusan dalam negeri Indonesia.”
Lima bulan setelah itu, pada tanggal 11 Maret 1966, Sukarno memberi Suharto kekuasaan tak terbatas melalui Surat Perintah Sebelas Maret. Ia memerintah Suharto untuk mengambil “langkah-langkah yang sesuai” untuk mengembalikan ketenangan dan untuk melindungi keamanan pribadi dan wibawanya. Kekuatan tak terbatas ini pertama kali digunakan oleh Suharto untuk melarang PKI. Sebagai penghargaan atas jasa-jasanya, Sukarno dipertahankan sebagai presiden tituler diktatur militer itu sampai Maret 1967. Kepemimpinan PKI terus mengimbau massa agar menuruti kewenangan rejim Sukarno-Suharto. Aidit, yang telah melarikan diri, ditangkap dan dibunuh oleh TNI pada tanggal 24 November, tetapi pekerjaannya diteruskan oleh Sekretaris Kedua PKI Nyoto.
Dalam bulan-bulan setelah peristiwa ini, semua anggota dan pendukung PKI, atau mereka yang dianggap sebagai anggota dan simpatisan PKI, semua partai kelas buruh yang diketahui dan ratusan ribu pekerja dan petani Indonesia yang lain dibunuh atau dimasukkan ke kamp-kamp tahanan untuk disiksa dan diinterogasi. Pembunuhan-pembunuhan ini terjadi di Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur dan Bali. Berapa jumlah orang yang dibantai tidak diketahui dengan persis – perkiraan yang konservatif menyebutkan 500.000 orang, sementara lainnya 2.000.000 orang. Namun diduga setidak-tidaknya satu juta orang menjadi korban dalam bencana enam bulan yang mengikuti kudeta itu.
Dihasut dan dibantu oleh tentara, kelompok-kelompok pemuda dari organisasi-organisasi muslim sayap-kanan melakukan pembunuhan-pembunuhan massa, terutama di Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur. Ada laporan-laporan bahwa Sungai Brantas di dekat Surabaya menjadi penuh mayat-mayat sampai di tempat-tempat tertentu sungai itu “terbendung mayat”.
Pada akhir 1965, antara 500.000 dan satu juta anggota-anggota dan pendukung-pendukung PKI telah menjadi korban pembunuhan dan puluhan ribu dipenjarakan di kamp-kamp konsentrasi, tanpa adanya perlawanan sama sekali. Sewaktu regu-regu militer yang didukung dana CIA menangkapi semua anggota dan pendukung PKI yang terketahui dan melakukan pembantaian keji terhadap mereka, majalah “Time” memberitakan:
“Pembunuhan-pembunuhan itu dilakukan dalam skala yang sedemikian sehingga pembuangan mayat menyebabkan persoalan sanitasi yang serius di Sumatra Utara, di mana udara yang lembab membawa bau mayat membusuk. Orang-orang dari daerah-daerah ini bercerita kepada kita tentang sungai-sungai kecil yang benar-benar terbendung oleh mayat-mayat. Transportasi sungai menjadi terhambat secara serius.”
Di Pulau Bali, yang sebelum itu dianggap sebagai kubu PKI, paling sedikit 35.000 orang menjadi korban di permulaan 1966. Di sana para Tamin, pasukan komando elite Partai Nasional Indonesia, adalah pelaku pembunuhan-pembunuhan ini. Koresponden khusus dari Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung bercerita tentang mayat-mayat di pinggir jalan atau dibuang ke dalam galian-galian dan tentang desa-desa yang separuh dibakar di mana para petani tidak berani meninggalkan kerangka-kerangka rumah mereka yang sudah hangus. Di daerah-daerah lain, para terdakwa dipaksa untuk membunuh teman-teman mereka untuk membuktikan kesetiaan mereka. Di kota-kota besar pemburuan-pemburuan rasialis “anti-Cina” terjadi. Pekerja-pekerja dan pegawai-pegawai pemerintah yang mengadakan aksi mogok sebagai protes atas kejadian-kejadian kontra-revolusioner ini dipecat.
Paling sedikit 250,000 orang pekerja dan petani dipenjarakan di kamp-kamp konsentrasi. Diperkirakan sekitar 110,000 orang masih dipenjarakan sebagai tahanan politik pada akhir 1969. Eksekusi-eksekusi masih dilakukan sampai sekarang, termasuk beberapa dozen sejak tahun 1980-an. Empat tapol, Johannes Surono Hadiwiyino, Safar Suryanto, Simon Petrus Sulaeman dan Nobertus Rohayan, dihukum mati hampir 25 tahun sejak kudeta itu.
Sesudah kejadian tersebut, 30 September diperingati sebagai Hari Peringatan Gerakan 30 September. Hari berikutnya, 1 Oktober, ditetapkan sebagai Hari Kesaktian Pancasila. Pada masa pemerintahan Soeharto, biasanya sebuah film mengenai kejadian tersebut juga ditayangkan di seluruh stasiun televisi di Indonesia setiap tahun pada tanggal 30 September. Selain itu pada masa Soeharto biasanya dilakukan upacara bendera di Monumen Pancasila Sakti di Lubang Buaya dan dilanjutkan dengan tabur bunga di makam para pahlawan revolusi di TMP Kalibata. Namun sejak era Reformasi bergulir, film itu sudah tidak ditayangkan lagi dan hanya tradisi tabur bunga yang dilanjutkan.
Pada 29 September – 4 Oktober 2006, diadakan rangkaian acara peringatan untuk mengenang peristiwa pembunuhan terhadap ratusan ribu hingga jutaan jiwa di berbagai pelosok Indonesia. Acara yang bertajuk “Pekan Seni Budaya dalam rangka memperingati 40 tahun tragedi kemanusiaan 1965” ini berlangsung di Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Indonesia, Depok. Selain civitas academica Universitas Indonesia, acara itu juga dihadiri para korban tragedi kemanusiaan 1965, antara lain Setiadi, Murad Aidit, Haryo Sasongko, Sasmaja, dan Putmainah.
