monasnews co.id Kong Sa’anan seniman rebana biang. Umurnya 90 tahun. Tinggal di Bojong Gede Depok. Dia generasi ke-9 dari keluarga seniman rebana biang. Meski sudah tua dia selalu bersemangat jika diajak bicara rebana biang.
Menurut Kong Sa’anan rebana biang sampai di Betawi dibawa oleh pasukan Mataram pimpinan Sultan Agung. Ketika itu rebana biang berfungsi sebagai hiburan dan sarana melakukan kegiatan tarekat. Namun diperkirakan rebana biang sudah ada sebelum Agama Islam.
Disebut rebana biang karena salah satu rebananya berbentuk besar. Rebana biang terdiri dari tiga buah rebana. Ketiga rebana mempunyai nama. Yang kecil bergaris tengah 30 cm diberi nama gendung. Yang berukuran sedang bergais tengah 60 cm dinamai kotek. Yang paling besar bergaris tengah 60 – 80 cm dinamai biang. Karena bentuknya yang besar, rebana biang sukar dipegang. Untuk memainkannya para pemain duduk sambil menahan rebana.
“Dalam membawakan sebuah lagu, ketiga reban itu mempunyai fungsi sendiri-sendiri. Biang berfungsi gong. Gendung dipukul secara rutin untuk mengisi irama pukulan sela dari biang. Kotek lebih kepada improvisasi dan pemain kotek biasanya paling mahir.
Setiap grup rebana biang mempunyai perbendaharan lagu berbeda-beda. Meskipun judul lagunya sama namun cara membawakannya cukup berbeda. Lagu rebana biang ada dua macam. Pertama berirama cepat, disebut lagu Arab atau lagu nyalun. Kedua berirama lambat, disebut lagu rebana atau lagu Melayu. Jenis lagu pertama antara lain berjudul : Rabbuna Salun, Allahah, Allah Aisa, Allahu Sailillah, Hadro Zikir. Termasuk jenis kedua berjudul : Alfasah, Alaik Soleh, Dul Sayiduna, Dul Laila, Yulaela, Sollu Ala Madinil Iman, Anak Ayam Turun Selosin, Sangrai Kacang, dan lain-lain.
Penamaan lagu Arab dan lagu Melayu tidak berhubungan dengan syair lagunya. Tetapi pada cepat dan lambatnya irama lagu. Cepat dan lambatnya irama lagu dibutuhkan untuk mengiringi tari. Tari yang diiringi rebana biang ialah tari Blenggo.
Dahulu grup rebana biang banyak tersebar seperti di Kalibata Tebet, Condet, Rambutan, Kalisari, Ciganjur, Bintaro, Cakung, Lubang Buaya, Sugih Tanu, Ciseeng, Pondok Cina, Pondok Terong, Sawangan, Pondok Rajeg, Gardu Sawah, Bojong Gede, dan sebagainya.
Keberadaan rebana biang saat ini sangat menghawatirkan. Grup rebanan biang Pusaka di Ciganjur masih bertahan. Grup ini dipimpin oleh Abdulrahman. Namun personalia grup ini sebagian besar sudah tua. Kemungkinan grup inipun akan hilang karena kesulitan mencari kader yang berminat menggeluti rebana biang.
Kong Sa’anan sudah berusia 90 tahun. Pada tahun 1950-an grup rebana biang Kong Sa’anan sangat ditunggu-tunggu pementasannya. Konon Kong Sa’anan mempunyai Ronggeng Gaib yang selalu menyertai pementasannya. Ronggeng Gaib inilah yang menyedot dan menghipnotis penonton. Sehingga penonton dengan sukarela bertahan samapi pagi.
Kong Sa’anan kini tidak mungkin lagi pentas dengan grup rebana biangnya. Rebana biang yang telah digeluti leluhurnya sejak jaman Mataram, telah dijual. Bagaiman nasib si Ronggeng Gaib selanjutnya? Walallahu ‘alam.
