monasnews co.id (Puspen TNI). “Gema Bhakti 2017” adalah latihan  kelima,  dan  berfokus pada perencanaan untuk Operasi Militer Bersama, khususnya pada  bidang Keamanan Maritim, Humanitarian Assistance / Disaster Relief dan Pertahanan Siber.

Hal tersebut dikatakan Wakil Asisten Operasi (Waasops) Panglima TNI Laksma TNI Nurhidayat didampingi Director of Training and Exercises, U.S. Pacific Command (J37) Colonel Jef Mullins saat menutup secara resmi Latihan Bersama (Latma) Staff Exercise (Staffex) Gema Bhakti 2017, di Hotel Ritz Carlton Jakarta, Kamis (14/9/2017).

“Tiga bidang fokus pada perencanaan untuk Operasi Militer Bersama merupakan bagian dari  enam  bidang  utama  dalam  kerja sama  pertahanan strategis bilateral antara Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) dan United State Pacific Command (USPACOM),” tambah Laksma TNI Nurhidayat.

Selanjutnya, Waasops Panglima TNI Laksma TNI Nurhidayat menyampaikan bahwa tujuan utama Gema Bhakti 2017 adalah meningkatkan proses perencanaan staf gabungan tingkat operasional untuk merencanakan, mengkoordinasikan dan memberikan dukungan operasi militer yang efektif terhadap krisis di kawasan, sekaligus meningkatkan interoperabilitas dan professionalisme diantara kedua Angkatan Bersenjata.

“Latihan bersama ini bukanlah tugas yang mudah, melainkan penuh tantangan karena berhadapan dengan skenario yang kompleks dan  bekerjasama dalam lingkungan multinasional, sehingga memerlukan upaya keras bersama,” ujar Laksma TNI Nurhidayat.

Diakhir sambutannya, Waasops Panglima TNI Laksma TNI Nurhidayat mengatakan bahwa dalam latihan ini tidak hanya menerapkan Military Decision Making Process – Multinational (MDMP-M) suatu proses perencanaan pengambilan keputusan, tetapi juga dibentuk Tim Gabungan Perencanaan Operasional dan melaksanakan Pengambilan Keputusan Militer (PKM) sebagai upaya bersama untuk melaksanakan skenario latihan.

Sebelum upacara penutupan, digelar Video Conference Meeting antara para pelaku latihan yang berada di Indonesia yang dipimpin oleh  Combined Task Force Commander Gema Bhakti 2017 Kolonel Inf Budi Handoyo dengan Deputy Commander J3 USPACOM Brigadier General Christopher. Dalam Video Conference tersebut disampaikan Commanders Estimate  mengenai hal-hal yang dilakukan dalam rangka bantuan kemanusiaan dan pemulihan pasca bencana terhadap negara Isla De Sol.

“Gema Bhakti 2017” yang diselenggarakan selama 10 hari (4 s.d. 14 September 2017) di Jakarta-Indonesia mengambil tema On Maritime Security And Humanitarian Assistance/ Disaster Relief  melibatkan 76 peserta, terdiri dari 39 personel TNI (Mabes TNI, TNI AD, TNI AL, TNI AU) dan 37 personel Tentara Amerika Serikat Pacific Command, adalah latihan bersama yang diselenggarakan oleh Kepala Staf Gabungan dan Staf Latihan antara TNI dengan USPACOM.
